Travel Requirements for Americans

Our Rotary Global Travelers membership is becoming increasingly global, but the majority of our members still travel with a US passport. Requirements for entering various countries are changing. Those of us who just returned from the Amazon were fortunate to travel during the window of time when Brazil did not require visas. That changes on April 1. 

The EU has had technical challenges rolling out its new European Travel and Information Authorization System (ETIAS) system. It’s now planned for late in 2026. In the meantime, expect to show your passport more often when traveling between EU countries.
