Several of our members have been involved in maternal health projects, particularly in Africa. Our group that recently traveled to Ethiopia visited the Hamlin Fistula Hospital and learned about the efforts to treat and ultimately eradicate this fistula.
As part of our exploration of how our club might participate in this work, a few of us met with an organization called Healing Hands of Joy. We thought our community might be interested to learn more about their work and about maternal health in Ethiopia. Here are several resources:
