Our Rotary Global Travelers Club continues to grow. (As of this writing, we are at 123 members.) Many of our members really enjoy the 30-minute “social” at the beginning of our meetings and crave more opportunities to get to know other members. You asked, we listened.
Starting in September, we are launching a new additional meeting each month focused specifically on giving members an opportunity to get to know each other. These meetings will not have speakers or formal agendas. We will break up into Zoom meeting rooms for 45 minutes to give you the opportunity to connect with a small group of your fellow members. Some rooms might be focused on a specific topic, such as a future trip; others might just be a place to chat.
We have chosen a different time and day (Thursday, noon central US) to provide a new option for our members in far-flung time zones or who have other conflicts with our regular meeting time.
We’re building a reputation as a vibrant, leading-edge eClub, and we want to continue to make our club a positive, beneficial experience for our members. These meetings are an experiment that we will try for a few months with hopes they will continue through the winter months:
- Thursday, September 5, noon central
- Thursday, October 3, noon central
- Thursday, November 7, noon central
If you have comments or suggestions, contact our president-elect Lenet Compton, who is coordinating these meetings. ([email protected])
