Let’s get started with our third club community service project: a 5950 district-wide effort to improve food security in which Global Travelers will again “serve together, separately.” The objective is to promote Food Security by donating time or money to your local food bank. Our timeline is now through March 31.

Four Ways to Participate
- Make a financial donation to a food bank of your choice
- Donate food supplies to a food bank of your choice
- Pack supplies or meals for distribution (see below for several options)
- Serve clients at a meal center

Document Your Participation
We’re serving separately, but our club wants to know.
- If you donate supplies, pack meals or supplies, or serve a meal, submit a photo of you and/or the organization you’re supporting to rotaryglobaltravelers@
gmail.com with the Subject: Food
NOTE: please DO NOT send photos that include food bank or meal center clients out of respect for their privacy.
- If you make a financial donation, please send an email with only your name and the organization supported (do not include the amount donated) to rotaryglobaltravelers@
gmail.com with the Subject: Food.
Finding an Option for Packing Supplies or Meals
Many good volunteer options are available around the world. Here are a few suggestions.
If you are in the Minnesota, Second Harvest in Brooklyn Center regularly offers food repacking shifts for volunteers.

Another Minnesota-based organization, Feed My Starving Children, has several permanent locations and many mobile locations around the country where you can serve. You can search for locations on their volunteer web page.
We encourage all club members, associates, and friends to join us in this opportunity to “serve together, separately.”
