Global Travelers together in Florida

On Sunday, January 5, 18 Global Travelers got together at the home of Corrine and Mark Lewis in Largo, Florida, for fun, food, and fellowship. We met at the condo meeting room and started by introducing ourselves after lunch, mingled, and some played a game while others had conversations. I ordered 4 Thai dishes and bought desserts from Costco, keeping the cost per person at $30pp. This didn’t include drinks but some people brought wine and we furnished soft drinks, water bottles, and some wine. Melanie spoke about travel, upcoming events, and the Rotary philosophy. I highly recommend her as a speaker!

The next day, January 6th, Global Travelers met at Camp Florida in Brandon, FL to clean the trails from the debris that fell in Hurricane Helene. The 10 of us made a big difference in the four hours we worked trimming, raking, and hauling branches and leaves. After we finished, we had lunch at a cajun restaurant in the area.
