Several times a year, the members of our virtual club, scattered far and wide, work to “serve together, separately.” In honor of Earth Day and of Rotary’s April theme of the environment, Global Travelers will be doing their part to do something kind for the Earth.
The challenge runs from April 23 through May 28. During that time, we hope every Global Traveler will participate in some type of Earth-honoring activity or donate to an organization the protects the Earth.

What can you do?
- Plant something.
- Clean up a park or greenspace.
- Encourage your favorite young people (kids, grandkids, neighbors) to participate.
- Donate to an Earth-friendly organization
Share Your Participation
- By May 28th, submit a photo of your Earth-honoring activity.
- If you choose to make a donation instead, share a photo of the organization or an image from their website.
- Send your photo to rotaryglobaltravelers.com Subject: Earth Day Challenge
Note: when we share pictures on social media, we’ll only use your first name and last initial.

From your IGNITE home screen, select My Service hours. From the dropdown project list, select Earth Day Challenge.
Enter a brief description of your activity and the time you spent. Just your best guess. We only care about participation. We aren’t tracking or comparing how many hours people are spending.

From your IGNITE home screen, select Service Selfies. You’ll have the option to browse your phone for photos you already took or to take a selfie right now.
Enter a brief description of the photo (where you were, what you were doing). You’ll also need to identify yourself and any other members in the picture.
