It’s the Season of Grants (and of Giving)

Part of our club’s mission is to serve the world. One important way we do that is through grants. Our young club has already made a difference in Latin America (Colombia, Bolivia, and Nicaragua), Africa (Kenya and Egypt), and Asia (India). We’ve brought clean water to villages, enhanced facilities in a clinic, helped combat liver cancer, and educated STEM teachers.

As you can see from the graph, our grant leaders have done a great job of leveraging the magic of Rotary to turn our relatively small investments (shown in the dark blue at the bottom of each stack) into significant dollars through matching.  You can learn more about that “magic” in How Grants Work. But getting that magic started depends on you and our Global Travelers Foundation.

Our next Rotary fiscal year begins July 1, and we’re already in the planning process. Several of our members have excellent ideas for grants that will continue our club’s efforts to make a difference in the world. Plus we are getting requests from other clubs to join in their grants. The funding to do this work comes from our Global Traveler’s Foundation (GTF), and that’s where you come in. There is power in numbers. If each of our 150 members contributes to our foundation, even a modest amount, imagine the good we could do in the world.

We might feed school children in Ethiopia and help a community sustain itself. Help bring clean water to another community in Colombia. Make a difference in the environment or improve maternal health. Opportunities and ideas abound.

Donate It Now!

We Global Travelers are lucky to have the resources to see the world and the tools to easily connect with this international community. Now is the right time to share our good fortune and contribute to our foundation to continue to make an impact.

We’ve made it easy to donate online. Use the QR code or go directly to our donation page.

Note: because of our current accounting capabilities, we don’t have the ability to donate online directly to our foundation account. Online donations go into our general account first and then are allocated to our foundation work. Therefore, they aren’t tax-deductible.  If you want to make a tax-deductible contribution, you can download our form here and mail it with a check.
