Chesa Keane, a new Associate member of Global Travelers, is a long-time consultant in many aspects of IT. As members of a virtual Rotary club, we are all, by definition, on-line to various degrees. And, like many things in life, being on-line comes with risk. Chesa has generously agreed to create a web series for our members with tips for helping us avoid becoming the victim of online scams. This is her second installment, focused on email scams.

In the 2023-2024 fiscal year, our club was one of just 11 in our District to achieve at least 13 of its 15 goals. And we were the only virtual club to be recognized.

Our Club is leading a grant in India to empower women STEM teachers in underserved areas of India. With the ripple effect of this education, we have the opportunity to impact the education of 20,000 students.

September 5 is our first THURSDAY CONNECT meeting. In this article, you’ll find simple instructions for how the breakout rooms will work. You have the option to select your room and to visit more than one room during the meeting.

Member Judy Huff loves to combine travel, service, and parenting. She describes a wonderful experience with her youngest daughter. In 2014, she brought her two oldest children — teenagers at the time — to Haiti. This time, she brought her youngest daughter to the Dominican Republic.
