Trip Leaders Needed
Ever thought of leading one of the Global Travelers trips? The trips committee is looking for people with an interest in organizing and leading one of our future trips. We have lots of templates and many previous trip leaders that will serve as mentors for you. We will even provide you a coach to help you think through all the logistics.

We’re Going to Iceland!
Our travel guru Mike has arranged a special departure just for Global Travelers on a six-day journey to Iceland in search of the Northern Lights. Your odds of seeing the stunning Aurora Borealis are good, but even if you don’t, you’ll experience the natural beauty of Iceland.
The trip is from February 22-27, 2026.

Ethiopia Grant In Progress
Our Global Travelers team is currently hard at work with the Rotary Club of Addis Ababa writing a global grant application. The vision is to build a commercial bakery in a school to enhance the economic environment in the surrounding community and to feed hungry children. We’re looking for partner clubs.

Habitat for Humanity Service Project
Planning is well underway for our club’s fall service project — building with Habitat for Humanity in Alexandria, Minnesota. Learn more about the project and how to RSVP (if you haven’t already). Join your fellow Global Travelers for two days of service and fellowship before the fall social.

Escaping Scams #9 — When Your Identity Is Actually Stolen
Chesa Keane, an Associate member of Global Travelers, is a long-time consultant in many aspects of IT. As members of a virtual Rotary club, we are all, by definition, on-line to various degrees. Chesa continues her excellent series on escaping internet scams, this time with a strong warning of the consequences of lax security.

Earth Day Challenge — Results
Several times a year, our geographically dispersed Global Travelers club chooses a virtual service project. Our goal with each project we choose is to give our members they opportunity to participate wherever they are — serving the world together, separately. Our challenge this spring was to find a way to celebrate Earth Day during April and May by doing something nice for the earth.

DACdb Roundup
Are you one of those Global Travelers who’ve been ignoring all the subtle and not-so-subtle nudges to start using our club database? July 1 is Rotary new year. Make a resolution to give it a try. And here’s a roundup of some links to help you.

We’re Going to Alaska!
Our virtual Global Travelers club is embracing a rhythm of providing opportunities for our members to meet in person several times a year. We’re combining social time and service opportunities with travel to an interesting destination. Typically one or more members organize a “home town” event. Lenet Compton brought many of us to Kansas City in March. Colette Cody and Silvia Johnson are organizing an event in Hawaii in December. And now, we’re excited about another opportunity — to visit Alaska with our fellow Global Travelers.
